Visitors to the Old Pheasant are assured of a warm welcome at this popular bar, inn and restaurant. The traditional bar serves real cask ales with an imaginative bar meals menu. The restaurant serves traditional English fare at lunchtimes and in the evening. An excellent standard of accommodation for both the business client and the tourist.

The Old Pheasant opened in 2004 following extensive refurbishment. The aim was to create a decor and layout conducive to a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We have become well known predominantly for our food. Whilst this will always be an important part of our business we are also a place to stay for a quiet break, somewhere for a business meeting, or perhaps simply somewhere to escape for a drink and some company.

English pubs are famous for being just that, English pubs. Whilst they are no longer the drinking dens of old we still try to maintain an element of tradition. We have a commitment to using local produce wherever possible, and change our menu regularly according to season and the availability of fresh local game and fish.

A regularly changing selection of real ales can be enjoyed, as well as a fine choice of malt whiskies, liqueurs and spirits. This is complemented by our extensive and carefully chosen wine list.

All the accommodation provided in the hotel is en-suite, comprising of a combined bath and shower unit, washbasin and toilet. The rooms are bright and tastefully decorated, with all the usual facilities you would expect to find.

Set in the heart of Rutland, Glaston is ideally located for those wishing to explore 'England's Smallest County' and beyond. We are also set half way between Leicester and Peterborough on the A47, offering an excellent venue for business meetings or just a quick break from a long day on the road. Rutland water boasts some of the finest fly-fishing, sailing and cycling facilities in the country and is only 10minutes away by road. From the annual Burghley Horse Trials to the roar of the racetrack at Rockingham, the local area provides events and attractions for all. We will be more than happy to help with any information you require during your stay.

The Old Pheasant is located in the village of Glaston, on the A47 between Leicester and Peterborough. We are situated close to the shores of both Rutland Water and the Eyebrook Resevoir; as well as the historic market towns of Uppingham, Oakham, Stamford and Market Harborough.
